MEALSaver Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how I5 Ventures LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), the maker of the MEALSavermobile application (the “App”), handles information when you use the App.

We built MEALSaver to be privacy-friendly by default: most of your data stays on your device, we don’t show ads, and we don’t sell your personal information.

1. Summary

Most data you create in the App (recipes, meal plans, pantry, grocery lists)

is stored locally on your device.

We send your postal code to a deals provider to find local grocery sales.
When you use AI meal planning, the relevant context (your deals, pantry items,

dietary preferences, and selected store names) is sent to an AI provider to generate your plan.

If you turn on Cloud Backup, your data is stored in our cloud database so

you can restore it.

We use a random device identifier to prevent abuse of the AI feature.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use third-party

advertising or cross-app tracking.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

Location (postal/ZIP code). You enter a postal code to find nearby stores

and weekly deals. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Meal & food data. Recipes, meal plans, pantry items, grocery lists, and

dietary/cuisine preferences you create or select.

Account information (optional). If you enable Cloud Backup, you provide an

email address and password to create an account.

Your own AI API key (optional). If you choose to use your own AI provider

key, it is stored securely on your device and used only to call that provider directly. We never receive it.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Device identifier. A random identifier generated on your device (not tied

to your name or contact info) used to rate-limit AI requests and prevent abuse.

Basic technical data. Standard request information (such as IP address)

processed by our infrastructure providers to deliver the service and protect against abuse.

2.3 Information we do not collect

We do not collect precise/background location, your contacts, photos

(beyond images you explicitly attach to a recipe), or device advertising IDs.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that track you

across other apps and websites.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

Provide core features: meal planning, local deals, pantry, and grocery lists.
Generate AI meal plans and recipes based on your deals, pantry, and preferences.
Provide optional Cloud Backup and restore.
Maintain, secure, and improve the App, and prevent fraud and abuse

(including rate-limiting AI usage).

Process subscriptions (handled by the app stores — see Section 5).

4. Third parties we share information with (sub-processors)

We share limited information with the service providers below only as needed to operate the App. We do not sell your data.

Note on AI keys: If you supply your own AI provider key, your prompt data is sent directly from your device to that provider under that provider’s terms, and does not pass through our servers.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

5. Subscriptions and payments

MEALSaver Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores process your payment and manage your subscription. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. See the applicable store’s privacy policy for how they handle payment information.

6. Data storage and retention

On-device data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the

App.

Cloud-backup data is retained until you delete it or close your account.
AI usage / device-identifier logs are retained only as long as needed to

enforce rate limits and prevent abuse, then deleted or aggregated.

To delete your data: uninstall the App to remove local data, and/or delete your Cloud Backup/account from within the App or by contacting us.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at Info@i5vc.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

We do not sell or “share” (as defined under CCPA/CPRA) your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Children’s privacy

MEALSaver is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (such as encryption in transit and secure credential storage) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App.
